WARNING!!… Be careful as tanning accelerators do not contain sunscreen, therefore, will not protect you from sunburn!
1. Accelerator & Maximiser Lotions
Just started tanning?…or do you have light/pale/sensitive skin?, we recommend a accelerator or maximiser lotion. Most beginner accelerators contain anti-aging elements such as CoQ-10, Ideal for building a base tan. Beginner accelerators are non-tingle and do not contain bronzers.
Tip: if you have extremely dry skin or sensitive skin, use accelerators with oils or moisture formulas
2. Bronzer Lotions & Accelerators
Most popular type of tanning accelerator… lotions which contain bronzers. Bronzers have 2 types, which are immediate and delayed results. The great advantage with bronzers being in tanning accelerators, they combine DHA and have active ingredients…so you will have instant dark results and long-lasting colour. Your tan will continue to develop after your tanning session which will improve your tanning results. With bronzers, you need to ensure you apply the lotion evenly… you don’t want a patchy tan!
Tip: after applying bronzing lotion wash your hands or use a wet wipe…you don’t want to end up with your hands darker than the rest of your body!
3. Tingle & Hot Lotions
Advanced tanners…tingle lotions or hot action lotions… they give your skin a tingling sensation. Your skin will be red after applying the lotion. The lotion brings the blood to the surface of the skin, which boosts the effect in which UV rays have. You will achieve a deeper much darker tan quickly... be careful… tingle lotions should not be used by people with pale/light/sensitive skin types. Take your time with application and do not use on face please…
Tip: don’t be shocked if your skin is red after application or you are itchy, it will last for roughly an hour. Don’t panic if you look like you’re sunburnt…the redness will fade quickly.
